\tYOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES\r

\tThe Crop Protection/Seeds & Traits Field Sales Representative is responsible for growing the market share of crop protection/seed business within a designated geography. This position will create demand for Bayer seed growth,crop protection, and seed products with retailers, dealers, and top growers, with responsibility for an annual target achievement within the territory or pod.\r

\tThe primary responsibilities of this role, Field Sales Representative III-Texas Panhandle - North of I-40, are to:\r
\r
\t \r
\r
\t \r
\r
\t \r
\r
\t\r
\t\tAchieve assigned targets with Bayer products in coordination with pod mates (other Bayer commercial employees in the same geography);\r
\t\r
\t\tDevelop and implement dealer business plans, manage forecasting proactively, inventory management and product line demand issues, set the business direction, and coordinate follow-ups with dealers that drive business results;\r
\t\r
\t\tServe as the key business consultant to retailers and dealer and effectively sell the value of Bayer Crop Science products;\r
\t\r
\t\tDemonstrate proof of product performance against the competition by being the champion of Bayer brands and product/technical/agronomic knowledge;\r
\t\r
\t\tCollaborate with pod-mate Field Sales Representatives (FSRs), Customer Business Advisors (CBAs) and Bayer Agronomists (TAs) and Development Representatives (TDRs) to maximize services, information, and sales to preferred growers and key customer accounts;\r
\t\r
\t\tActively manage inventory concerns as appropriate to ensure success of meeting business objectives while anticipating demand and potential bottlenecks;\r
\t\r
\t\tGather, assimilate and analyze market and competitive information and utilize data to make key decisions to drive the business;\r
\t\r
\t\tDevelop and recommend strategies for achieving long and short business plans for key accounts and assigned area;\r
\t\r
\t\tEffectively manage expenses, discretionary dollars and program payments per Bayer Crop Science policy;\r
\t\r
\t\tIndependently work to continuously expand selling skills and product/portfolio knowledge, while mentoring peers and teammates in these skills as well;\r
\t\r
\t\tEnsure achievement of program execution and program fulfillment; including national/regional marketing initiatives;\r
\t\r
\t\tTake a leadership role in partnering with pod-mate FSRs/CBAs and manage the relationship with top growers and retailers.\r
\t\r
\t\tAct as the business expert for top growers and retailers, while planning for customer business needs;\r
\t\r
\t\tProactively mentor and coach earlier-in-career FSRs;\r
\t\r
\t\tManage area claims per Bayer Crop Science policy and process through effective problem solving, execution, administration and resource management ;\r
\t\r
\t\tTravel approximately 60% (primarily day travel within the listed geography);\r
\r
\r
\t \r

\r

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

\t\tHigh School Diploma or GED;\r
\t\r
\t\tExcellent communication skills (interpersonal, oral and written) ;\r
\t\r
\t\tDemonstrated initiative, assertiveness, and ability to drive results;\r
\t\r
\t\tExcellent business acumen, account planning, influencing and critical thinking skills;\r
\t\r
\t\tFinancial, time, and territory management expertise;\r
\t\r
\t\tProven ability to multi-task in a rapid-paced and matrixed environment;\r
\t\r
\t\tStrong user level computer and presentation skills (proficiencies in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook);\r
\t\r
\t\tDemonstrated digital acumen and ability to analyze data to influence decisions;\r
\t\r
\t\tWillingness to travel and live/work in a rural environment;\r
\t\r
\t\tProven interest in supporting collaboration and teamwork;\r
\t\r
\t\tValid Driver's license;\r
\t\r
\t\tPosition requires driving for the company that may fall under DOT/FMCSA jurisdiction. This may entail the hauling of trailers, product, supplies or equipment in a safe manner;\r
\t\r
\t\tAbility to pass driving record background check (i.e. moving violations, accidents, License suspension, etc.)\r
\r
\r

\t

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

\t\r
\t\tBachelor's degree;\r
\t\r
\t\tBachelor's degree and 6 + year experience in sales, marketing, account management or agriculture OR other education level and 10+ years listed experience;\r
\t\r
\t\tDemonstrated product, portfolio and agronomic knowledge.\r
\r
\r
\t \r
\r
\t \r
\r
\t \r
\r
\tEmployees can expect to be paid a salary between $87,674.40 to $131, Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Other benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. If selected for this role, the offer may vary based on market data/ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
