Job Description

Description of The Position

The Analyst, Power BI within the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine (UNR Med) will support data analytics across business operations, research, and education, with a special emphasis on meeting accreditation requirements from LCME, ACGME, and AAPHL. Addressing the increasing need for a data-driven medical school, this individual will collaborate closely with data management and content experts. The goal is to empower the school to achieve goals by transforming raw data from UNR Med DataMart and external sources, such as Renown and AAMC, into actionable insights that facilitate informed business decisions. The role will gather and analyze data; will have autonomy in creating visually appealing and informative reports and dashboards using Power BI; and collaborate with cross-functional teams

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders with differing levels of tech literacy, a willingness to learn and develop skillsets consistent with the position, and an alignment with UNR Med's core values. Experience working in a higher education environment is a plus.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and two years of related work experience OR

Master's Degree and one year of related work experience

Related Experience: Data management in academic medicine, higher education or an enterprise environment
