SAIC is currently seeking a Latent Print Examiner to be responsible for the following:

  • Performs latent print examinations, comparisons and identifications
  • Applies thorough knowledge of fingerprint classification, search and filing methods
  • Prepares inputs for automated print analysis
  • Enlarges prints enabling systematic tracing of ridge structures and points of minutiae
  • Establishes potential identification of individuals from computer generated list of potential candidates
  • Makes positive identification of individuals from the minutiae inherent to each individual
  • Reports results of examinations, comparisons and identifications in appropriate format
  • Develops and maintains relationships with consumers
  • Gives briefings and presentations

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability and willingness to be obtain a TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
  • Bachelors and zero related experience
  • Active Certification by the International Association for Identification (IAI) as a Certified Latent Print Examiner (CLPE) to be obtained upon hire
  • Experience as a Latent Print Examiner (direct experience working in forensic laboratory processing items for latent prints, recording latent impressions, and the application of scientific methodology of ACE-V)
  • Current proficiency as measured by Latent Print Comparison Proficiency Exam within the last twelve months
  • Proficiency using Adobe Photoshop
  • Proficiency using Universal Latent Workstation (ULW)
  • Strong Oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience providing Latent Print related training
  • Experience providing Ten Print training
  • Completed Latent Print Training to Competency training program to be obtained upon hire
  • Proficiency with common Microsoft Office programs such as Work, Excel, and PowerPoint
