Job Summary:

HCA's Forward Pathology Solutions is looking for a PRN Pathologist who is Board Certified in Anatomical and Clinical Pathology. This role is for the south market, catering to the communities of Manatee, Sarasota, and Charlotte counties. The primary location would be at HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital, with additional responsibilities at HCA Florida Englewood Hospital, South Shore Hospital, Blake Hospital, and HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital.

Qualified Candidates:

  • AP/CP certification or board eligibility
  • Minimum of three years' experience in hospital-based settings
  • Active Florida Medical License or eligibility to acquire
  • Proficiency in the complete spectrum of AP and CP for community hospital settings
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Proven record of establishing cooperative partnerships with hospital personnel and referring physicians

Pathology Work Description:

  • Handling a broad range of surgical pathology specimens
  • Managing cytology cases such as non-GYN specimens, thyroid FNA's, and lung FNA's
  • Clinical pathology tasks may involve peripheral smears and blood bank assessments
