Fire Logistics Dispatcher

In this position, you will serve as a logistics dispatcher in the Northeastern lnteragency Coordination Center, providing support to all the agencies within the Northeast that are supported by that dispatch center. The area covered by includes New York, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, and the Canadian Providences.

• Provide extended attack support for fires by processing resource order requests for personnel, equipment, supplies, and/or aircraft for all types of incidents
• Coordinate the mobilization, reassignment, and demobilization of fire fighting resources with other dispatch organizations
• Gather, process, and disseminate intelligence to help management and first responders create a plan of action
• Maintain logs, records, and reports as required
• Provide guidance to other dispatchers, including training new or visiting dispatchers

Duties will be developmental in nature when filled below the full performance level.
