Responsible for program development, consultation within the program, other VA programs and community providers around substance use and mental health treatment.
Ensures that patient care is coordinated with VA Medical Centers, community health or mental health providers and agencies that serve homeless populations.
Prepares reports and statistics for facility, VISN, and national use.Manages and controls the use of data related to this program regarding day to day functioning and program evaluation.
Plans and organizes patient care activities in conjunction with the Program Manager.Able to exercise mature professional judgment and is licensed to practice Social Work at the independent clinical level.
Works within the HUD-VASH program as a Substance Use Disorder lead.
Acts as a consultant for HUD-VASH social workers who serve Veterans with complex substance use disorders.
Responsible for providing treatment for a caseload of veterans in the HUD-VASH program who have high risk substance use disorders.
Expected to remain informed of best practices within the field of substance use disorders, and to collaborate with the outpatient Substance Use Disorder staff within the medical center.
Provides trainings to staff related to risk assessment, CPRS documentation of risk assessment and best practices.Functions as the subject matter expert in substance use disorder treatment.
*Preferred Experience*Specialized knowledge and experience in the treatment of substance use disorders

Pay:
Competitive salary and regular salary increases When setting pay, a higher step rate of the appropriate grade may be determined after consideration of existing pay, higher or unique qualifications, or special needs of the VA (Above Minimum Rate of the Grade).
37-50 days of annual paid time offer per year days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year)
Selected applicants may qualify for credit toward annual leave accrual, based on prior [work experience] or military service experience.
Parental Leave:
