The Engineering team is hiring for a UI/UX Designer.

The UI/UX Associate is responsible for the research, creation of high-fidelity mockups, information architecture and spec documents for new applications or website pages. The associate will work with the business and development teams to solve new and ongoing challenges for the trade desk and members who use our systems, taking a user centered approach, to design a project from idea to mockup, providing specs for implementation and following the process to completion, while following company standards and style guides.

The ideal candidate will have solid research and design and time/project management skills and will be comfortable gathering requirements and understanding the challenges presented by stakeholders and the business.

Your responsibilities will be:

  • Responsible for user-centered design execution of client-facing application and public web properties.
  • Guide front-end web developing software engineers to achieve best quality creative results across web properties. Provide detailed feedback to keep up with design standards.
  • Responsible for conceiving and conducting user stories and translating them into sitemaps, wireframes, and mockups to facilitate prototype generation.
  • Participate in requirements gathering and analysis. Collaborates between business partners, design, and technology.
  • Participate in internal and industry-wide weekend testing as needed. Ability to support production systems and application of the exchange outside of normal working hours to ensure performance and high availability.

The ideal candidate has:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of creative vision, business requirements and technical limitations to deliver best possible user experiences.
  • Prioritize and manage time effectively across projects in a fast-paced deadline driven environment while delivering quality solutions within deadline and budget guidelines.
  • Excellent communication, design, and research skills.
  • Basic understanding of HTML, JS, and CSS.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Detail oriented and capable of receiving and providing feedback throughout design and development.
  • Minimum Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree in Design, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
