This is a full-time salaried position as a Post Production Supervisor. You must be able to commute to our office in Inglewood, CA to be considered.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management:

  • Collaborate with the production team to establish post-production schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive post-production plan, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues or delays, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Coordinate with external vendors, post-production houses, or freelancers, as needed, to facilitate the completion of project elements.

Team Management:

  • Supervise and mentor the post-production team, including editors, assistant editors, and media managers.
  • Assign tasks, set priorities, and provide guidance to team members to ensure efficient and high-quality work.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting effective communication and teamwork among the post-production team.
  • Communicate project status, progress, and any potential issues to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.

Quality Control:

  • Ensure the technical and creative quality of all post-production deliverables, including video/audio quality, color grading, visual effects, and overall aesthetic consistency.
  • Review and provide feedback on rough cuts, graphics, visual effects, and other elements to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Implement quality control processes, including testing, reviewing, and approving final deliverables before distribution or broadcast.

Industry Knowledge and Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in post-production workflows.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness in the post-production process.
  • Recommend and implement new tools, software, or techniques that can enhance the post-production workflow.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Media Studies, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience working in a high-volume, quick turnaround environment.
  • Proven experience as a Post Supervisor or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of post-production processes, including editing, visual effects, sound design, and color grading.
  • Proficiency in post-production software and tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite and DaVinci Resolve.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Leadership abilities and experience in managing a team.
