Provide technical planning, direction and guidance on internal and external state-of-the-art complex biomedical software engineering projects on the Program's software development methodology.

Oversee and manage an entire portfolio of scientific, biomedical, and administrative systems software development projects being supported by one or more contractors simultaneously.

Serve as expert software development point of contact working with Security to ensure that all systems have an Authority to Operate (ATO).

Defines and sets the Recovery Point Objectives, the Recovery Time Objective, and the Maximum Tolerable Downtime on each application within the portfolio.

Organize, conduct, and/or participate in workshops, conferences, symposia or similar scientific activities to promote and disseminate computer science and software development best practices and facilitates communication among investigators and cancer research community.

Serve as a Project Officer/Contract Officer Representative in the acquisition of software and services contracts needed to design, develop, deploy, and support the professional documentation of CBIIT systems.
