Upper School Science Instructor

Morristown Beard School seeks a full-time science teacher for grades 9-12 for the academic year. The ideal candidate will implement a progressive, multidisciplinary, and collaborative approach in the classroom and contribute to our school's supportive and caring environment. The successful candidate will be able to use science as a springboard for higher-level critical and creative thinking and will embrace the use of new technologies as a tool for learning. All teachers teach four sections and serve as an advisor to a cohort of students.

Teaching experience

• Ability to teach two out of four disciplines (Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Environmental Science)

• Communicates effectively with students and families about classroom activities and student progress

• Differentiates instruction based on feedback, needs, and learning levels
• Creates relevant and authentic learning experiences
• Designs formal and informal assessments that measure student progress
• Open to coaching, directing a club, or supervising activities Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree required, Masters preferred
