Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supports reserving analysis and communicates financial results to senior leadership.
  • Responsible for monthly IBNR and other actuarial accruals.
  • Quarterly forecasting of financial statements for business planning purposes.
  • Updates monthly MLR models and communicates results to Pricing and Underwriting.
  • Responds to inquiries on actuarial deliverables from sales, product, or accounting areas.
  • Explains and monitors revenue and claims variances against the budget.
  • Supports annual audits and actuarial memorandum updates.
  • Engages and motivates employees, holds them accountable, and drives results.
  • Builds strong relationships and fosters a people-first culture.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or another quantitative discipline.
  • 5+ years of actuarial experience.
  • Understanding of reserving models, health insurance data sets, and compliance testing.
  • Completion of 3 actuarial exams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, VBA, SAS, SQL.
