You help provide safe, effective, high-quality care as part of a dynamic team in our hospitals, health centers, health stations, and clinics.


Duties include serving as key health program advisor to the Chief Medical Officer and Area Executive Leadership; responsible for maintaining the professional integrity, quality, and effectiveness of health care activities including therapeutic clinical services; providing medical oversight to ensure that medical practices and procedures and the medical care quality assurance review mechanisms at each IHS Facility are appropriate, of high quality, and consistent with his policy; working with Tribes and Urban groups for the purpose of promoting and understanding of IHS programs and individual and group participation in planning, implementing and evaluating health programs and policies.
