Project Overview:

Currently under construction, Port Arthur LNG is a natural gas liquefaction and export terminal in Southeast Texas with direct access to the Gulf of Mexico. The project facilities will include two natural gas liquefaction trains capable of producing, under optimal conditions, up to approximately 13.5 mtpa; as well as the construction of new natural gas pipelines to deliver natural gas to the terminal.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will provide support of project field engineering activities using specialized knowledge to interface with project team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Your recommendations will ensure field engineering activities operate safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards and project requirements. #LI-BH1

Major Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that projects are in compliance with state, federal, and country environmental permits and regulations, and in particular with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) requirements.
  • Supporting engineering and other project disciplines in understanding and applying regulatory requirements, based on permits and legislation.
  • Developing execution strategies and planning for project permitting.
  • Ensuring that regulatory approvals are in place to support project execution.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent knowledge of technical theory, engineering principles, good engineering practices and how to apply them for design execution.
  • Excellent understanding of major project delivery, including the design process and typical project design deliverables.
  • Familiarity with major environmental regulations and industry codes and standards affecting standard design, quality, or processes.
  • Working knowledge of US environmental legislation, experience with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) is preferred.
  • Experience working on LNG Plants, Industrial wastewater treatment units, and Energy Transition (hydrogen production, CCS, methanol synthesis, etc.)
  • Relevant industrial experience multiple types of facilities such as Refining, Gas Processing and Petrochemical.
