The role: QA Test Analyst
The QA Test Manager will spearhead our quality assurance initiatives, with a primary focus on building the integration and creation of automated testing. In addition, they will serve as the champion for enhancing our testing processes and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. While initially not managing direct reports, the QA Test Manager will be responsible for the architecture of QA Test Management, paving the way for future team expansion. The QA Test Manager will have dotted line responsibility for all QA Testers in the Business Systems Area as it relates to education and implementation of testing standards and performance. They will strategize ideas to improve business operations and meet with company executives and other stakeholders to provide suggestions based on their analysis. Responsibilities:
- Lead the integration and creation of automated test cases to streamline our testing processes and improve efficiency.
- Design and implement robust QA test management frameworks, ensuring scalability and adaptability to our evolving needs.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in QA testing methodologies, providing guidance and best practices to the Business Systems team.
- Utilize expertise in tools such as Azure DevOps, Spec Flow, Selenium, and similar tools to drive automation efforts and optimize testing workflows.
- Proactively identify areas for improvement within the QA testing process and implement innovative solutions to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.
- Foster strong cross-functional relationships with development teams, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on quality standards and testing requirements.
- Maintain thorough documentation of test cases, results, and processes, and generate comprehensive reports to communicate findings and drive decision-making.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in QA testing and provide mentorship and training to junior team members as needed.
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, accounting, math, finance, statistics, or computer science, strongly preferred. A combination of other certifications/experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- 5+ years prior experience in management of quality assurance testing, with a focus on automated testing and test management.
Technical Skills (Required):
- Expertise in DevOps Test Plans
- Proficiency in Spec Flow or similar automation tools
- Ability to create clear, concise, detail-oriented requirements, specifications, and business requirements documents.
- Ability to understand and create test plans from specifications or verbal communications.
- Experience interacting at all levels with development, project management, and business
- Proven track record of working in a fast-paced environment and delivering high-quality resultsAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business and technical procedures. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and internal customers.
