Applicants should have at least two years of relevant teaching experience.

Candidates will possess expertise in planning and delivering engaging reading and writing lessons that promote literacy and critical thinking skills.

Additional skills include knowledge of Upper Elementary mathematics, ensuring students develop strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Experience with the Math in Focus program is a plus.

Other responsibilities include the design and implementation of interactive and informative social studies lessons that foster an understanding of history, geography, and cultural diversity.

Must be able to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and administration to support student learning and well-being.

Teachers participate in school-wide activities including dismissal, lunch supervision, and recess duties.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree. An advanced degree is strongly desired.

We seek candidates with a deep knowledge of early childhood development and who have experience in providing students active, hands-on experiences.

They should have an interest in supporting students' development of the necessary academic, social, and attitudinal skills to achieve 21st-Century leadership.

Candidates should be ready to engage in helping the school to achieve its goal of being an anti-racist institution with broad DEIJB goals.

Familiarity with Quaker education and the ability to coach is a plus.
