Job Summary

The Orthoptist Apprentice performs various functions and procedures related to the delivery of care to ambulatory patient populations.

This position is involved in direct patient care of patients with comprehensive and specialty eye care needs under the supervision of a licensed optometrist or provider.


The Orthoptist Apprentice will draw upon their training and experience to promote visual health of patients and perform optimal testing techniques under the supervision of a provider or optometrist.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Customer service skills, ability to function as part of a team, knowledge of ophthalmic procedure(s).
