English Instructor

University High School of Indiana seeks dynamic educators to teach English beginning with the school year. The ideal candidates will have a passion for the humanities at the high school level, a desire to collaborate with other members of the faculty and staff, and a willingness to be involved at University beyond the classroom.

Faculty members at University High School are responsible for all tasks related to instruction, including planning, implementing, and assessing a curriculum that fits the school's mission to expand the hearts and minds of its students through academic, creative and physical achievement. Instructors also serve on school committees and support the educational system of the school as a whole. Additionally, all faculty and staff members at University High School serve as mentors to students in the school-wide mentoring program.

This is a full-time, on-campus position, includes teaching four sections of English, mentoring, and teaching during J-Term, and is eligible for University's full benefit package.

• Bachelor's degree in English, English Education, or a related field required; master's or other advanced degree preferred
• Ability to teach all levels of high school English required, including AP courses; teaching experience strongly preferred
• Willingness to mentor required; mentoring experience preferred
