Position Overview
The Logistics Financial Analyst will assist the Director, Logistics Finance and team in updating, analyzing and distributing key Supply Chain reports.
The analyst's focus will be on expanding the current reporting process, supporting management in controlling expense through analysis, ensure correct ledger coding of expense and development of strategies for process improvement.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Assist Financial management team in preparing departmental operating expense reports.
- Assist in tracking Capital expenses.
- Create and update weekly labor and departmental CPU reports.
- Assist financial management team with budgeting, reporting and process improvements.
- Participation in monthly close process (reclassifications, accruals, payroll, etc.), ensuring proper entries are recorded by Corporate Accounting.
- Performs ad hoc analyses, prepares reports and presentations, and makes recommendations to finance partners.
Knowledge and/or Key Competencies preferred:
- Advanced PC skills (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Knowledge and familiarity with retail distribution operations and terminology is a plus.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Large volume data management skills required.
- Uses effective communication skills. Candid, clear and concise in communication. Effectively matches style, tone, and method to audience. Connects with intended audience. Manages communication and feedback within the organization.
Experience preferred:
- Business, Finance or Accounting work experience minimum of 4 years
- Additional software experience preferred: Hyperion Essbase, SAP, Adaptive Insights, BI tools.
- Retail/Distribution/Manufacturing experience preferred
Description of Work Conditions:
Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
Sedentary, sitting, walking, occasional lifting (overhead, waist level) from floor, bending, frequent near vision use for reading and computer use.
Travel Required:
Travel as required.
