The hourly range listed is an estimate. Pay at Cardinal Health is determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's geographical location, relevant education, experience and skills and an evaluation of internal pay equity.

Shift for this position is: 10:00am - 6:30pm (or until the work is complete) Monday-Friday.

What Inventory Management contributes to Cardinal Health

Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning. Inventory Management is accountable for the design and execution of demand planning and customer forecasting systems, supply planning, product deployment and expediting processes, and the development and implementation of a stocking optimization model to minimize costs and inventory while delivering on service requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains a current and accurate system
  • Works with Customer Service Representatives and the Master Scheduler to ensure all orders are planned and prioritized in order to meet or exceed customer schedules
  • Keeps the operations teams busy with work or advising when work is limited
  • Notifies Operations of all requested changes from the customer regarding scheduling, processing and shipping
  • Ensures all customer orders are waved and processed in order of priority
  • Runs daily air and expedited orders
  • Prioritizes to successfully complete tasks, both long-term and short term
  • Interacts well with customers, both internal and external
  • Manages workflow orders to the warehouse through electronic means
  • Releases customer requested orders to the warehouse through electronic systems

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and follow up skills
  • 2-4 years experience in a warehouse/distribution environment preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft office, Excel knowledge preferred
  • Great communication skills (bi-lingual is a plus)
  • Prior knowledge working with a WMS system
  • Ability to multitask and be detail oriented
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment

  • May provide general guidance or technical assistance to less experienced team members
