- What are the skills we all need in order to adequately and thoroughly interpret scientific claims, and how can we be sure that the conduct, analysis, and interpretation of science are not unduly influenced by political or other potentially distorting factors?
Each instructor is assigned a section of ~24 students and are required to teach twice a week for a total of 3-hours and 20-minutes every week over ten weeks. Additionally, during the program, all instructors are expected to hold one weekly office hour and attend a weekly (online) one-hour faculty meeting. The Fall program runs Monday September 2 through Friday November 15, 2024. The Spring program runs Monday January 27 through Friday April 11, 2025.
Qualifications
Successful candidates will possess or be near completion of a Ph.D., a master's degree, or equivalent in a STEM-related discipline and be willing to engage students of all disciplines in a common educational experience. No specific background in the science of water is required. Candidates with evidence of training in or experience that aligns with the focus of the workshop strands will be given special consideration.
All hired faculty will be required to attend an on-campus mandatory pre-program curriculum work for two days prior to the start of their teaching (Fall Hires-August 26/27, 2024 Spring Hires-January 18/19, 2025) Faculty stipend is payable on the last day of their term.

This salary range reflects the College's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for the position at the time of the job posting. Salary decisions are dependent on several factors including but not limited to market and organizational considerations, experience, and qualifications of a selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
