Duties

Provides administrative and management analysis assistance to executive level positions in Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS). Compiles and organizes data from various sources to develop and prepare graphs, charts and reports for presentation when making operational decisions. Maintains accurate accounting of all expenditures to ensure operation within budget. Ensures database adequately tracks requisitions, cancellations and cost. Provides guidance to reconcile requisitions for effective management of available funding. Acts as Liaison to track MCCS requirements with other administrative offices such as purchasing and contracting, maintenance, accounting, Appropriated Fund and Nonappropriated Fund personnel offices, property, ISMD, base fire and safety offices and preventative medicine. May review reports from Division Directors to identify administrative, programmatic and operational issues or problematic procedural processes. Analyzes and evaluates MCCS efficiency and effectiveness by developing proposals for problem resolution. May perform tasks and reviews of various internal functions and systems to determine maximum efficiency and compliance with established MCCS policies and regulations. May conduct studies of problem areas in the organization to determine and define problems, recommend corrective actions, share findings and coordinate resolution. May conduct surprise cash verifications at assigned locations. Evaluates organizational functions, plan changes or enhancements to systematic processes. Analyzes complex programs to apply techniques for collecting, sorting, displaying and tracking varied information, both quantitative and qualitative. Designs forms to access information from a variety of relational, integrated databases and spreadsheets.Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Acknowledges customers, smiles and makes eye contact. Asks questions to determine, verify and solve problems. Checks for satisfaction on the quality of goods and services. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Uses required safety equipment, and observes safe work procedures. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment. Performs other related duties as assigned.

EVALUATIONS:

Qualifications

Three years experience that demonstrates knowledge of program management policies, concepts and practices of MCCS. Skill to compile and analyze qualitative and quantitative data and develop statistical or narrative reports, charts and graphs. Skill in oral and written communication to prepare and present recommendations and solutions regarding complex issues based on analysis and evaluation of proposals. Skill to operate a personal computer and associated software. Knowledge of APF and NAF financial accounting and personnel systems. This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs may be required.
