SUMMARY

Support actuarial analysis for the National Programs Division of Brown & Brown Insurance for numerous personal, commercial and specialty lines programs. Will lead, manage, and improve profitability throughout our division. Responsibilities include working with carrier partners, monitoring carrier profitability and developing strategies to optimize growth. Establish strong working relationships with carrier side actuaries, understand and be able to clearly communicate program intricacies, produce rate level projections for a variety of coverages, and collaborate with internal and external partners to create innovative analytic solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following:

  • Present and lead discussions with internal and external stakeholders
  • The ability to work effectively with carrier partners and business leaders to drive outcomes
  • Understand carrier portfolio management, including internal profitability targets, pricing vs. reserving, financial/management views, contingent commissioning and corporate benchmarking
  • Evaluating program results
  • Negotiate rate need/redundancy and the appropriate stratagies in the market with program leaders and carrier actuaries
  • Other duties as assigned

CERTIFICATES LICENSES AND REGISTRATION

  • Actuarial designation of ACAS or FCAS
