Fil Staffing is looking for a Therapist and Care Manager - NPS to work Hybrid in San Francisco.
Summary:
Fil Staffing is working with a client nonprofit in San Francisco that aims to provide families in the bay area to live with understanding, confidence, straight, and joy. The mission is to be the place to begin for children, youth and families who need mental health, social services and academic support.
Responsibilities:
The Non-Public School serves high school students whose mental health symptoms impair their ability to access and succeed in their education. The students are supported by a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, teachers, behavior support staff, drivers, and program management. The team works closely with the students, their families, and outside agencies to support the student's academic and therapeutic goals.
The Therapist and Care Managers provide intensive strategies to address any current need for stabilization, crisis intervention, and individual, family, and group therapy. Therapists and Care Managers must have strong clinical and advocacy skills, demonstrate flexibility, utilize a strengths-based approach, and experience working with children and adolescents with high mental health needs.Therapists and Care Managers work as an integral member of a multi-disciplinary milieu team that addresses the child or youth's educational, behavioral, and mental health needs. The Therapist and Care Manager adheres to all agency and Medi-Cal billing and documentation requirements and works with the Clinical Supervisor to identify policies, procedures, and training needs.Maintains a caseload of clients that facilitates the ability to meet client service hours goal as set by the agency.Provides clinical leadership in Non-Public school (NPS).Provides mental health screening and assessment of cognitive, emotional, and social functioning and needs; facilitates the identification and engagement in mental health services.Provides crisis intervention and stabilization when appropriate.Job Requirements:Advanced degree (Master's or Doctorate) in clinical psychology, social work, or related field required. Current CA Board of Behavioral Science or Board of Psychology license and/or registration.California License Preferred (LCSW, LMFT, Licensed Psychologist)Based on our funding sources, the California Department of Mental Health requires all unlicensed psychologists to apply for a professional licensing waiver or show proof of valid waiver before the hire date.Direct clinical experience working with high-risk children and youth.Demonstrated clinical experience with foster care, DCFS, and community mental health systems.Bi-lingual Spanish or Cantonese (spoken and written) is preferred.Experience providing individual, family, and group therapy to children and adolescents.Clinical service skills - assessment/evaluation, diagnosis, clinical skills, crisis intervention, effective use of supervision, ethical and legal responsibilities, and high-quality clinical documentation.Knowledge of child and adolescent development, trauma, chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, and child abuse.Cultural humility - knowledge of issues of race, class, and ethnicity.Ability to work effectively with clients who have complex, multiple diagnosis histories.Efficiency and time management - ability to be well-organized and complete timely documentation.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.Knowledge of or ability to learn Medi-Cal reimbursement procedures and billing.Prior knowledge and experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Avatar, preferredEngaging, flexible style with children and adolescentsBenefits:PTO and Holidays coincide with school closures for holidays.Five health and wellness days off annually10% additional pay for community-relevant second language fluencyMedical/Dental/and Vision plans403 B Retirement Plan with agency matchEmployee Assistance ProgramCommuter Benefits ProgramMedical and Childcare Flexible Spending AccountsPet InsuranceIdentity Theft Protection PlanPaid employee referral programFlexible work schedulesCareer advancement opportunitiesRetention bonuses for many positionsContinuing Education expense reimbursementProfessional licensing fee reimbursementProfessional Development reimbursement opportunitiesVerified Public Service Loan Forgiveness Employer Follow our page on Linkedin and visit our website.
