Minimum Position Qualifications:
  • Customer Service skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to handle stressful situations
Desired Previous Job Experience:
  • Retail Experience is preferred but not necessary
  • Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger responsibilities include bagging groceries at checkout, striving for at least five items per bag, and preventing any damage to the items
  • Understanding and application of best practices for bagging items in various types of bags (reusable/plastic/paper)
  • Assistance in loading bags into customers' cars when necessary
  • Contribution to shelf maintenance and informing customers of specials
  • Ensuring a clean store environment inside and out by collecting trash, cleaning spills, and handling seasonal merchandise
  • Familiarity with store layout, product locations, and conducting price checks for cashiers
  • Upholding safety procedures and identifying and reporting any safety risks or incidents promptly
  • Compliance with food safety regulations and company guidelines
  • Maintaining equipment through preventive maintenance and reporting any repair needs
  • Providing a welcoming and helpful atmosphere for customers by answering product-related inquiries and ensuring their overall satisfaction
  • Reporting any instances of safety risks or illegal activities promptly
  • Adherence to all local, state, and federal laws and company policies
  • Ability to perform job duties with or without reasonable accommodations
