Job Summary:

This role will focus on several Health Equity/DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) projects to help progress our Mission, Vision, and Values. This requires a high level of initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and communicate with different groups. This part-time (0.50FTE) position is a new role and will require flexibility and open communication. DEI efforts are department-wide and may require flexible sharing of tasks with other department stakeholders and Administrative Partners. Training will be provided as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

DEI at the Bedside: a project that incorporates educational conversations related to diversity, equity, and inclusion into our inpatient neurology rotations. Some data gathering, survey distribution, and colleague education will be a part of this role.
Funding searches: assist with searching for funding opportunities both within and outside the institution to continually support the evolution of the DEI group.
Grants/ sponsorships: providing administrative support to keep up with deadlines and submission requirements.
In collaboration with manager and DEI team, develops PowerPoint (or similar software) presentations and adds additional content/detail based on team's feedback.
In collaboration with the manager, analyze current processes, create, and maintain process flow maps and data tracking, for example, DEI-neurology strategic planning.
Enter and maintain data in department databases (e.g., FileMaker Pro, Microsoft Access, and Excel); works closely with Neurology IT to obtain, clean and organize project survey data.
Serve as liaison with community leaders, hospital and university staff, and internal and external research institutions.
Assist with visa sponsorship applications and processing
Other duties as assigned
Work Location:

Onsite / Hybrid – This community-based role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO with the possibility of some remote work.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Intermediate Level:

Bachelor's degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, education, social services, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, information systems, or a directly related field from an accredited institution
A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis
One (1) year of professional level experience research, writing, and/or analytical projects in a professional environment.
Senior Level:

Bachelor's degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, education, social services, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, information systems, or a directly related field from an accredited institution
A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis
Two (2) years of professional level experience research, writing, and/or analytical projects in a professional environment.
Principal Level:

Bachelor's degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, education, social services, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, information systems, or a directly related field from an accredited institution
A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis
Three (3) years of professional level experience research, writing, and/or analytical projects in a professional environment.
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, education, social services, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, information systems, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
Experience analyzing data using high-performance computing.
Experience conducting PubMed searches.
Experience with electronic data capture systems (e.g., EMR or EHR and data management systems).
Bilingual in Spanish.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Familiarity with statistical analytical concepts and methods.
Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
Outstanding customer service skills.
Demonstrated commitment and leadership ability to advance diversity and inclusion.
