Job Description

The Associate Director, Stock Plan Services supports stock administration financial reporting, and partners and collaborates with fellow stock plan services team members to support daily stock administration as well as special projects. Position reports to the Senior Director, Stock Plan Services.

Responsibilities include:
Preparation of stock-based compensation calculations for quarterly and annual financial statement disclosures as well as forecasts.
Preparation of monthly shares outstanding reconciliation.
Preparation of quarterly shares outstanding forecasts
Support of stock plan activity, including award releases and option exercises, grants, cancellations, and terminations
Support of ESPP activity, including enrollments and purchases
Preparation of the dividend equivalent reconciliation.
Preparation of the China Notice 35 filings and back up support for the payment calculation, reporting, reconciliation and payment processing for participants subject to China SAFE
Back up preparation of the monthly Weighted Shares Outstanding for EPS reporting
Support of the maintenance of the stock plans reserves (plan summaries for the stock plans) and quarterly reconciliation with the transfer agent.
Assistance in reviewing annual proxy statement disclosures and 10-Q/10-K disclosures
Support preparation and filing of SEC Forms 3, 4 & 5
Support reporting of stock plan and ESPP activity to U.S. and international Payrolls
Assist with various business partner reporting requests
Provide excellent customer service responding to employee inquiries in a timely and professional manner
Maintain accurate and up-to-date systems and records
Other tasks, projects and team-member support, as assigned

Basic Qualifications:
10+ years relevant experience and a BA/BS in Finance or Accounting or Economics OR 8+ years relevant experience with an MBA.
CEP level 3 is required.
5+ years of stock plan administration experience with employee stock purchase plans, stock options, and restricted stock in a global environment.
Experience working for a multinational company with a strong understanding of the accounting, tax and legal requirements of equity plans.
Familiarity with Equity Edge Online.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Independent and self-motivated.
Must be organized and detail-oriented.
Ability to prioritize and handle several projects in fast paced environment.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications:
An active CPA is preferred.
Prior public accounting experience is a plus.
Prior experience with Tableau is a plus.

The salary range for this position is: $191, $247, Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.
