Lob Location: Spanish Fork, UT

The Overhead Crane Inspector Repair Technician will be responsible for the inspection, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of overhead cranes and hoists throughout the Hydro Spanish Fork, Utah Facility. This position will report to the Pdm Supervisor.

Job Responsibilities
  • Inspect, repair, and maintain various below the hook crane components, rigging hardware, slings, and other equipment in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications.
  • Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment to include cranes, hoists, overhead doors, and other equipment as assigned.
  • Oversee contractors to ensure compliance with safety policies.
  • Write inspection reports and provide the proper documentation.
  • Complete work orders and paperwork accurately and promptly.
  • Identify all weight limits/restrictions, safety regulations, and operating codes that are relevant for crane operation.
  • Complete and keep current all training and certificates as required.
  • Capable of providing training to maintenance & operations.
  • Participate in Safety meetings and training.
  • Report all incidents, injuries, and/or accidents immediately to Leadership.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • High School Education or GED equivalent with some formal post High School vocational education.
  • Completion of a Journeyman level training program in industrial maintenance, electrical, or similar program required.
  • 5 plus years' experience in the inspection, service, maintenance and troubleshooting of overhead cranes, hoists, and lifting equipment.
  • Ability to obtain a NCCCO Overhead Crane Inspector and Crane Operator Certification, with provided training.
  • Strong mechanical/Electrical knowledge.
  • Understand the causes and results of overhead crane failures and accidents.
  • Recognize and understand the difference between deficiencies and safety hazards.
  • Knowledge of applicable OSHA & ANSI/ASME Regulations and Standards.
  • Demonstrate proper use of inspection tools.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions, manufacturer repair manuals, and schematics.
  • Effective and clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
