Waller, United States Equine Partners Veterinary Services, PLLC Full time

Equine Partners Veterinary Service is hiring for an Associate Veterinarian. We are a two doctor practice in Waller, Texas with 100% equine clientele. One hour outside of Houston and a 45- minute drive to Bryan/College Station, we are close to the amenities of the city with a small town feel.

The practice is a mix of ambulatory and in clinic, where we have a 17-acre facility, and a 10,000 sq. foot barn and clinic with climate controlled exam rooms, radiology, and surgery suite. Equipment includes inhouse CBC, Chemistry, SAA, microbiology, nucleocounter, cryopreservation, 3M video gastroscope and upper airway/hysterscope, portable fiberscope, Logic E and M-Turbo ultrasounds, digital radiography, shockwave, Pro-stride, Bovie electrocautery, HDE floats, foal alert, video-monitored stalls and two fully stocked ambulatory vehicles.

Our work is heavy on reproductive services, provided almost exclusively in clinic, and includes mare care, stallion services, foaling out, embryo transfer, and semen freezing. Additionally, we offer elective surgeries in house (would consider expanding surgical services) and refer colic surgeries. Sports medicine, dentistry, and preventive medicine make up the balance of the caseload. Emergency duties are shared evenly with a second local practice.

EPVS is staffed with an office manager and five technical support staff. Benefits include 10 days paid vacation, continuing education, retirement plan with employer matching, state and DEA license, liability insurance, health insurance stipend, practice vehicle, paid holidays, workers comp, discounted products and services, AAEP, TVMA, and AVMA membership dues. Pro-Sal pay available with emergency fees paid at 100%.

We emphasize client communication, high quality medicine, and customer service. Continuing education is encouraged above the minimum requirements. The successful applicant will be a DVM or equivalent degree, USDA accredited, Texas license, and NAVLE passed. We have a great team, great clients, and a no-drama practice environment. Mentoring is a part of our culture, and we frequently have interns and students that cycle through the practice. Salary is commensurate with experience.
