Test Engineer, SeniorThe Opportunity:
When a user tries new software, they expect it to be intuitive and run smoothly. Functionality, reliability, and user experience are key to successful software development—and that means rigorous testing.

That's why we need you, an experienced test engineer who knows how to thoroughly test software and work with developers to make sure our team releases the best software possible.

As a test engineer on our team, you'll use your experience to work with testers, and engineers to evaluate software developed for the Army.

You'll create a test plan with test cases based on user stories.

Using automation to streamline, using automated and manual processes, you'll generate data and implement the test cases to observe how the software performs, then document the results and communicate defects to the development team so they can start improving the tool.

You'll automate continuous security and performance testing and monitor the health of communication systems. This is an opportunity to supercharge your skills by writing the code to test.

You'll also broaden your experience in large-scale systems and gain skills in new areas such as automation while sharing your testing experience with your team.

You Have:
8+ years of experience with tactical network engineeringExperience with preparing and reviewing test plansExperience with coordinating test requirements with fellow engineers, subject matter specialists, PdMs, or organizations for tests or facilities that are required for the testExperience with analyzing and evaluating technical data, including instrumentation readings, calculations, or deficiency reports to ensure valid results or obtain weaknesses or failures encountered and probable causes, suggested modification, and design changesExperience with analyzing design and specification proposals of manufacturers to ascertain that they meet specified general requirementsExperience with making recommendations as to the feasibility of designs, time, cost estimates, and technical phases proposedExperience with data analysis techniquesKnowledge of DoD, DA, acquisition, and ATEC T&E policies and regulationsSecret clearance Bachelor's degreeNice If

You Have:
Knowledge of instrumentation systems, data collection and reduction techniques, commercial and military standards, and use of management information systems necessary to facilitate testing and evaluationAbility to conduct performance tests and evaluation of items and systemsAbility to ensure sufficient equipment and resources, including personnel are available to perform tasksAbility to develop evaluation strategies, including application of design of experiments and modeling and simulation techniques Ability to organize and lead teams through collaborationAbility to provide technical assistance documenting and presenting strategies and plans to leadership and key stakeholders both orally and in writingBachelor's degree in EngineeringClearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193, annualized USD).

The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
