Cognizant is looking for a "Sr. Associate Java" for developing customized product for our clients. The role is expected to drive technology discussions and analyze the current landscape for gaps in addressing business needs. Cognizant needs a motivated individual to challenge the status quo and provide thought leadership/best practices to enhance our current services and technologies.

Education Details: BS or Equivalent

Must Have Skills: SQL Server, Spring Boot, Microservices, Spring Batch, Spring MVC, Spring Core, REST Web Services, GIT, Core Java, SOAP, Maven, MySQL, PL/SQL, Struts

Good To Have Skills: WebSphere application server, Mockito, Spring Logging, Postgre, Groovy, Spring Security, Java Persistence API, Web Logic Application Server, Hibernate, Java Message Service, Oracle, Linux, Tomcat, JBoss, EJB

Job Location : Brea, CA, USA (Remote)

Roles & Responsibilities:

· 8+ years of Strong Dev Java Exp - Need technically strong Java profile who needs to work independently and take delivery responsibility for the assigned project activity.

· Good Hands-On project experience is expected Java/J2EE, Strong SQL skills, Spring MVC, Spring boot, Spring Injection concepts, Git, CICD Jenkins, JUNIT

· Need strong SQL / Microsoft SQL server knowledge. The resource should have strong SQL skills to analyze and tune queries for performance. skill level as close to possible to a DBA. (but an actual DBA is not needed)

· Need strong Java knowledge. Current application runs on open JDK 17.

· Need someone who can analyze the existing system's code base, understand it, and rewrite it to make it more efficient.

· Need a senior resource who can work with no hand-holding and can work independently. (This implies good communication skills as well.)

· Insurance Domain knowledge is preferable.
