Summary

GS-06 You will serve as a FIREFIGHTER (HAZMAT OPERATIONS) in the FIRE AND EMERGENCY SERVICES DIVISION of NVSUPPACTMID SOUTH.

GS-07 You will serve as a FIREFIGHTER (BLS/HAZMAT TECHNICIAN) in the FIRE AND EMERGENCY SERVICES DIVISION of NVSUPPACTMID SOUTH.



Duties
  • You will administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automatic external defibrillation (AED) for a patient.
  • You will operate firefighting equipment (e.g., pumps, foam generators, boom, ground sweep nozzles) to control or eliminate fires.
  • You will establish on-scene control procedures (e.g., zone control, decontamination) in a hazardous material incident.
  • You will position firefighting vehicles in consideration of external factors (e.g., wind direction, sources of water, hazards from falling structures, location of armament on aircraft).
