This pivotal role involves traveling between our esteemed Latham and Albany, NY practices, where you will be intricately trained to support oral surgery procedures. Pay rate: $18–23/hourHealth benefits package: medical + vision + dental + 401K + life ins. + disability Offered after 30 days of employmentOffered to full–time employees 30+hrsPaid time off: 3 weeks + holidays A 1–hr lunch breakOpportunities for growth & advancementContinuing Education courses (CE) Locations: Capital District Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons11 Century Hill Drive, Suite 200, Latham, NY 121107 Southwoods Blvd, Suite 1, Albany, NY 12211 Schedule: 4 days in Albany + 1 day in Latham Responsibilities: Preparing patient charts, recording treatment plans, and updating dental recordsOperating X–ray and 3D scanning equipment and developing radiographs for diagnostic purposesPreparing and sterilizing surgical instruments, materials, and equipment in accordance with infection control and biohazard protocolsAssisting the surgeon with all chairside procedures including operatory setup, anesthesia administration, and cleanupPreparing patients for surgery and monitoring vital signs during proceduresProviding patients with information on oral health care, treatment plans, and postoperative outcomesMonitoring stock dental implants and ordering when requiredEnsuring that instruments and equipment are effectively maintainedOther duties and tasks, as assigned periodically Requirements: High school diploma, GED, or equivalentCertified dental assistant program (preferred)1+ years of dental assisting experienceOral and maxillofacial surgery assistant certification (preferred)Radiography certification (preferred)CPR Certified Interview Process: 1 virtual interview + 1 in–person interview
