OpenText is looking to extend that information management advantage to the Internet of Things which is projected to collect, analyze, and visualize data from trillions of devices. As a Lead Software Engineer, you will utilize expert knowledge and experience to perform complex product design, systems analysis, research, maintenance, troubleshooting and other programming activities. These would cut across various systems and devices. At the core will be the need to drive future technology implementations for the next generation Internet of Things Cloud.

Your impact:

Platform Engineering has three strategic areas of focus : OpenText Cloud Platform (OCP), our multi-tenant Platform as a Service offering that provides the foundation for all of our next generation Public Cloud SaaS offerings, OpenText Developer Cloud that provides access to all OpenText Information Management capabilities as Services (APIs) to enable our customers and partners to leverage these in building industry vertical propositions, and Business Process Automation capabilities for our customers.

What the role offers:

  • Producing high quality code according to design specifications
  • Ownership and technical leadership end-to-end; design, development, validation and test automation, deployment, and support in production.
  • Lead and/or participate in the software development process from design to release in an Agile Development Framework

What you need to succeed:

  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
  • 8 years software development experience with Java and web app development
  • 6+ years of experience in designing and implementing web applications using HTML, JavaScript, CSS and JavaScript frameworks such as Angular UX and React
  • Experience with web application accessibility and related standards
  • Strong Object-Oriented Design experience is required
  • Strong Java programming experience is required
  • Strong knowledge on algorithm design and analysis, including knowledge of data structures and design patterns
  • Strong hands-on experience with building enterprise applications
  • Experience with AWS
  • Experience with container and orchestration services; Docker/Kubernetes
