Job Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate/support the Risk Management Process and aid in establishing system and operational standards and corrective measures.
  • Supervise all setups, diagnosing, and upkeep of electronic devices across the manufacturing procedures and plant, ensuring adherence to specifications. Oversee troubleshooting efforts regarding electronics, PLC's, and instrumentation gear to reduce failures and downtime.
  • Utilize electrical measuring tools and testing devices along with the capacity to interpret and draft electrical diagrams.
  • Electrical/electronic diagnosing and fixing on three phase 480VAC, 240VAC, and single phase 240 and 120VAC power networks.
  • Three phase and single phase AC induction, DC, and Servo motor utilization and diagnosis.
  • Motor control elements like Motor Starters, Soft Starters, and Variable Frequency Drives.
  • 120VAC, 24VAC, and 24VDC control circuits design and problem-solving.
  • A practical understanding of safety mechanisms such as Guard Door Switches, Emergency Stops, and Safety Relays.
  • Familiarity with Allen Bradley RSLogix 500, RSLogix 5000, and Factory Talk software.
  • Utilization of Allen Bradley PLC programming employing Ladder Logic, Function Blocks, and PID loops.
  • Analog and digital I/O tools including Remote I/O applications.
  • Designing and programming of HMI systems.
  • Designing and assembling Electrical Panels is an asset, although not obligatory.
  • A proactive individual who can pinpoint issues and formulate resolutions.
  • Capable of communicating efficiently to expedite fixes to production machinery in a high-output manufacturing facility.
  • Adept problem solver who executes planned maintenance on industrial equipment to sustain peak efficiency.
  • Accountable for ensuring proper training of internal technicians is completed for each new system and that expertise is kept up-to-date on all current systems.
  • Render support and expertise to engineering concerning new system design and installation.
  • Facilitate seamless communication and interaction among plant installations, suppliers, and plant IS systems as necessary, utilizing software, servers, modems, etc.
  • In charge of recognizing and upholding spare parts inventories.
  • Supervise computerized maintenance management and activity scheduling for maintenance to decrease equipment downtime by establishing PM procedures and frequencies and by guaranteeing PM's retain their suitable priorities in maintenance scheduling.
  • Initiate and recommend enhancements to equipment, techniques, layout, and procedures associated with department operations. Reduce persistent problems and enhance performance of current systems through analysis and implementation of resolutions.
  • Maintain costs at a minimum for effective operation, proper upkeep, and economical use of resources, efficient distribution of labor force.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction improvements through precise machine repair history and downtime logs.
  • Ensure all work complies with OSHA, the National Electrical Code, and that all work is done safely and exhibits quality work.
  • Cultivate a secure and healthy work atmosphere for all staff through unwavering backing of the company's Heinz Safety Process. Supervise safety processes encompassing, but not restricted to, target setting, hazard identification, and removal, enforcement of safety processes and subsequent corrective measures, area check-ups, job proficiency, and compliance training, accident inquiries and safety assemblies.
  • Explain company policies to employees and enforce policies and safety rules.
  • As needed, additional responsibilities and/or projects may be assigned.
Knowledge/Background
  • Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or systems.
  • Preferably 5-7 years of experience.
  • Familiarity with personal computers, PLC's, and local IS systems.
  • Ability to comprehend computer jargon related to data input.
  • Must be technically competent and capable of correctly interpreting symbols, diagrams, and blueprints, drawing for data relevant to electrical and electronic systems, machinery, or equipment.
Skills/Competencies
  • Should be able to showcase their knowledge of the following systems and equipment:
1) VFD control expertise: Analog and Discrete I/O, ControlNet, Ethernet

2) Programmable Logic Controllers: ControlLogix, CompactLogix, Slick 500

3) Hands-on experience with HMI platforms: FactoryTalk View Studio, SE and ME Stations

4) Communication at machine-level: ControlNet, Ethernet

5) Communication at plant-level: Ethernet, RSLinx, FactoryTalk directory

6) Proficient with Servos

7) Programming skills: Produce/Consume tags, AOIs, UDTs.

8) AB 500, AB5000, ME/SE,Device Net
  • Readiness to evolve alongside the organization.

  • Incumbent should possess outstanding planning/organizational and interpersonal skills.
