ECU Health Physicians and the ECU Health Palliative Care team, located in Greenville North Carolina, are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their established Hospice and Palliative Care team to provide compassionate end of life care to patients and families. Applicants should have a minimum of 2 years of experience.
Hospice and/or palliative care experience is preferred.

Flexible clinical schedule that includes:
o hour shifts per week with rotating weekends
o Daily team huddles
o Rounding on the Palliative Care Unit
o Providing inpatient consults on all units at ECU Health Medical Center
o Coordinating general inpatient care enrollment for the palliative care unit
16-bed Palliative Care Unit
Shared call for nights and weekends
Interdisciplinary care team approach
Applicants will be required to have ACLS and BLS certification
Ability to live only an hour away from the beautiful beaches of the North Carolina coast

Clinical Responsibilities:
Perform clinical assessments and consultations in acute care setting
Complete patient admission and discharges
Perform daily clinical rounds on inpatient units
Develop and update patient plans of care
Provide clinical support for the unit and field staff
Direct/participate in family conferences and interdisciplinary team meetings
Participate in agency Quality Improvement and Patient/Family Experience activities
