As Plant Controller you will have a responsibility to provide financial support for operations and commercial-related operational spending. This role will report directly to the Manager, Operations FP&A in Wilmington, DE. This role will work closely with key stakeholders in operations, commercial and finance) and will cover Florence operations. This role will be closely connected with operations in terms of setting up processes, reviewing actual spending, Budget, Forecast, and Productivity, and ensuring proper operational month-end closing.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Knowledge of monthly transaction inputs on process orders.
  • Responsible for the monthly closing of the Florence plant ledger
  • Works with various accounting and reporting systems, such as SAP, and Tableau to accomplish tasks and must be able to manipulate and organize data for effective presentation.
  • Analyzes data and translates it into meaningful information. Provides management and financial statement users with relevant, comparable, and accurate data for decision-making.
  • Provides support to Operations, including cost analysis, inventory control, product unit cost reporting, identification and tracking of cost savings initiatives, and financial reporting for special projects.
  • Responding to questions on Operations spending, product cost, period expense, and proper cost/capital investment project accounting.
  • Participates in projects and team initiatives that improve the manufacturing cost accounting practices and procedures.
  • Adheres to internal control policies and procedures.
  • Sets Annual Budgets

Be able to support the Florence Plant and Ops Activities as:

  • Be able to support the Florence Plant Management Team
  • Cost Absorption Control
  • Production Volume
  • Headcount Control
  • Run Cost simulation for any new product.
  • Savings Initiatives control
  • Florence inventories write off control.
  • Support the commercial/ marketing team.

Qualifications

  • SAP / ERP Systems experience (FI-CO).
  • Bachelor's Degree - in Accounting or Finance.
  • 5 years of cost accounting or general ledger accounting experience in the manufacturing environment, preferred in foreign-invested companies.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with outstanding verbal/written communication skills
  • Self-starter; motivated to learn and operate independently.
  • Demonstrates initiative, is conscientious, and provides complete follow-through on areas of responsibility.
  • Experience establishing and developing productive working relationships with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate across a wide range of business and technology environments at both a strategic and a tactical level.
  • Solid analytical, problem-identification, and resolution skills
  • Prior experience of direct partnering with executives or senior management is highly desired.
  • Proficiency in English Language required.

The position will be based out of our Florence, KY location, and will be hybrid.
