JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Design Manager, the Design QAQC's primary job responsibilities include overseeing QC process for the Design department by reviewing and standardizing design submittals for all Allied design projects with mentoring for improvements of the team.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Code compliance plan review of all fire sprinkler design projects
• Hydraulic Calculation review for all fire sprinkler design projects
• Quality assurance review of all fire sprinkler design projects
• Ensure uniformity of submittals and standard practices and procedures
• Participation in project progress meetings applying code to design
• Participation in mentoring and development of the design team
• Coordination of submittals and permit applications with administration staff

Knowledge:

• Knowledge of NFPA / IFC requirements
• Knowledge of all local AHJ requirements for all markets serviced by Allied Fire Protection

Work Experience:

• 8-10 years of experience in fire protection sprinkler design
• Previous leadership experience

Skills and Competencies:

• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
• Detail oriented with excellent organization skills
• Proficient in working with Microsoft Office Products including Word and Excel
• Current State of Texas RME-G License
• Current NICET Level III of higher Certification

Physical Requirements

• 80% Office Setting, including sitting, some bending, some lifting, walking and viewing
• 20% travel as needed
