Location Description

The Flamingo Resort & Spa is a mid-century marvel in The Valley of the Moon.
The buildings, rendered with natural materials and iconic angular silhouettes, are the work of master architect Homer A.
Rissman.
Set on a 10-acre campus, it is an incomparable property for both its city access and sense of complete retreat.

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with a specialization in painting to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in painting techniques, surface preparation, and finishing applications.
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the aesthetic appeal and structural integrity of our facilities through expert painting services.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct routine inspections of interior and exterior surfaces to assess painting needs and identify areas for maintenance.
  2. Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as necessary.
  3. Select and mix paints, stains, and coatings to match existing colors or specifications.
  4. Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or sprayers in a timely and efficient manner.
  5. Perform touch-up and repair work on painted surfaces to maintain a uniform appearance.
  6. Coordinate with other maintenance team members to schedule painting projects and minimize disruptions to daily operations.
  7. Maintain accurate records of paint inventory, usage, and equipment maintenance.
  8. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working with painting materials and equipment.
  9. Assist in other maintenance tasks such as carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work as needed.
  10. Keep abreast of new painting techniques, materials, and equipment to enhance job performance and efficiency.
    Qualifications
    1. High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in painting or a related field is preferred.
    2. Proven experience as a painter or maintenance technician with a focus on painting.
    3. Strong knowledge of painting techniques, tools, and materials.
    4. Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
    5. Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship with the ability to produce high-quality work.
    6. Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
    7. Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
    8. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
    9. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate painting projects and maintenance needs.
      Compensation Range

      The compensation for this position is $18.00/Hr.
