The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Fitness Director and Assistant Director in the planning, managing, and administering Kirtland AFB's fitness and sports program.

• Responsible for administrative duties associated with development and implementation of base intramural and varsity programs, as well as other fitness programs.
• Interfaces with contracted official's organizations and acts as coordinator between the official's organization and the Fitness management.
• Plans and budgets for equipment and supplies required for conducting fitness programs.
• Functions as the Fitness program point of contact for all intramural and varsity coaches. Establishes coaches meeting prior to each sport explaining rules and requirements for participation within the base sports program.
• Functions as a certified personal trainer providing instruction on various strength and cardiovascular equipment.
• Assures cleanliness and safety of gymnasium facilities. Works with Base CE to insure safe and proper conditions exist in the facility and on sport fields.
