The right Security Officer III checklist will include equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, detail driver, mentor, and motivator.

This Role exists to protect people and property, maintain a peaceful, fun filled and safe atmosphere, and enforce Security procedures at Dollywood while Creating Memories Worth Repeating for our guests.

Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able display and live out Lead with Love qualities, strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture, by being patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable.

Summary of Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Animal controlAssist Guests and Hosts with vehicle problemsAssisting in the transport and escort of moniesAssisting the Safety-First Aid Department as assignedAssisting with fire and flood preventionBeing generally friendly and caringControlling and directing on park trafficControlling park access at Host and service entrancesCrowd controlHelping guests find their wayIssuing tickets for illegally parked Host vehiclesMonitoring Fire Suppression SystemsMonitoring Park alarm systemsPatrolling buildingsPatrolling Guest and Host parking lotsProviding Dignitary Protection Services for visiting celebritiesResponding to calls for service regarding unruly Guests/HostsResponding to calls for service, i.e., shoplifting, burglary and theftReuniting lost persons on parkTaking possession of lost property and returning same to Lost & FoundAbility to work comfortably at heights up to 60 feetAble to be flexible to handle frequent changes in prioritiesAble to comprehend instructions and retain informationAble to get along with other employees to work out problems and resolve conflicts. Education and Experience Required

Ability to cope with situations firmly, courteously, tactfully, and with respect for the rights of othersAt least one year of experience working successfully in a similar role. Preference will be given to candidates with prior Law Enforcement or Security related experienceMust be able to meet the qualifications to be certified as a Security Officer by the State of Tennessee, licensed by the Department of Commerce & Insurance Private Protection Services as prescribed by the Tennessee Code Annotated 62-35 Act of 1922 (See attachments TCA , TCA Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of ageAbility to develop skill in the use and care of firearmsMust possess valid Tennessee driver's license and have state required auto insuranceFirst Aid and C.P.R. certification required or ability to obtain a certification in a timely mannerMust be willing and able to pass First Responder Course and apply material when neededMust be able to meet the same requirements as a police officer for the State of Tennessee:Must be a citizen of the United StatesMust have high school diploma or equivalentMust pass a background check and drug screenMust be able to pass a credit checkMust not have been convicted of or pleaded guilty to or entered a plea of nolo contendere to any felony charge or to any violation of any federal or state laws or city ordinances relating to force, violence, theft, dishonesty, gambling, liquor and other alcoholic beverages or controlled substancesMust not have been released or discharged under any other than honorable discharge from any of the armed forces of the United StatesMust have fingerprints on file with the Tennessee Bureau of InvestigationMust pass a physical examination by a licensed physicianMust have good moral character as determined by a thorough investigation conducted by the employing agency; and/or the POST CommissionMust be certified by a Tennessee Licensed Health Care Provider qualified in the psychiatric or psychological fields as being free from any impairment, as set forth in the current edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) of the American Psychiatric Association at the time of the examination that would, in the professional judgement of the examiner, affect the person's ability to perform an essential function of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation
