The Large Captial Project Manager will manage large capital projects through construction, commissioning, startup, and closeout. The Project Manager will identify and develop the project requirements and then develop the project scope and plan to meet those requirements. Lead cross-functional teams, applying project management knowledge, skills, and tools in support of large capital projects ($5MM to +$100MM).

Located in Ville Platte, LA. Candidate is expected to co-locate at the site.Air Pollution Control Project – Currently in early Construction PhaseEngineering and Procurement CompleteAlmost all Greenfield ConstructionAll contracts are reimbursable through a general contractor

The Ideal Candidate will have:

Experience in managing large capital projects in the construction phase, as the PM.Experience as a PM, working for the Owner CompanyExperience managing reimbursable contractsStrong project controls knowledge/experience

Desired Technical/Managerial Skillset:

Project Management skills through all phases of the project lifecycleBroad / practical knowledge of Project Management methodologies, contracting strategies, best practices, and tools.Multi-disciplinary knowledge including process engineering, process safety, civil-structural, piping, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation / analyzers, process automation, SH&E, and construction management.Proficient with project controls processes (e.g., estimating, controlling cost, managing change, measuring progress, planning-scheduling, reporting)Proficient with ERP softwareProficient with contract managementTechnical knowledge and leadership of the installation of manufacturing systems, processes and equipment

Desired Education:

BSc University Degree – Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Civil preferred). Advanced degree in business or engineering management preferred.Experience with a formal Project Management methodology required and formal PM certification preferred (e.g., Project Management Professional through PMI or company-specific equivalent)10+ years in chemical or related industry, with 5+ years as a project manager assigned to large capital projects >$20MM. International project management experience preferred.
