Position Summary
Driver-Messenger operates an automobile, panel truck, or similar vehicle for the purpose of driving officials, collecting and delivering messages, records and materials.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Delivers messages, records, mail and/or materials according to specific written instruction.
- Makes rounds of mail stations in an assigned area, picks up mail records for delivery and deposits same in designated points.
- Delivers emergency requests or runs errands as directed.
- Delivers specimen form assigned units to laboratories.
- Keeps records of rounds made, work orders delivered and material returned.
- Makes duplicate copies of mail or record material as requested.
- Assists with the delivery or movement of equipment and supplies.
- Demonstrates behaviors of service excellence and CARE values (Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Expertise).
- Performs all other related job duties as assigned.
Education
High School diploma is strongly preferred.
Experience
Generally requires 0 to 3 years of related experience.
License/Certification
Possession of a valid FL Driver License and satisfactory driving record is required.
