Norman, Oklahoma, United States Main St Veterinary Hospital Full time

Founded in 1997, and originally on main street in Norman, Main St. Veterinary Hospital continues to be privately owned and operated. Though the practice is no longer on main street, it is now a 5 doctor AAHA-accredited hospital in a new, modern and clean facility built from the ground up and designed with the comfort of staff, patients and clients.

Our daily staffing includes a minimum of 2 assistants/RVTs per DVM. We have a supportive and collaborative environment and will often "round" on each other's challenging cases. Diagnostic tools include digital imaging, ultrasound, in-house laboratory equipment, and several boarded specialists who practice on site. Therapeutics include a surgery suite, a dental suite, therapeutic laser, hospital and ICU wards, and a fully stocked pharmacy.

We are currently looking to hire either a PT or FT veterinary associate. The ideal candidate would thrive in a collaborative environment, enjoy learning and teaching new techniques, respect the talents of the staff and the intelligence of the clients. We take pride in appreciating the newness of every day in a progressive and busy small animal practice.

We see dogs, cats, and for those inclined to see them, also house pets including rabbits, ferrets, small rodents, various reptiles, and birds. Scheduling is flexible and we can work with special requests. We value our time off, so a 4-day work week and one Saturday per month is full-time. We refer all after hours emergencies to our trusted emergency medicine colleagues.

Employee well-being is paramount and benefits include:

  • a flexible schedule
  • health, vision, and dental insurance
  • 401k retirement
  • paid vacation
  • paid parental leave
  • paid state and DEA license fees
  • paid AVMA and OVMA dues
  • an EAP
