ANDRITZ HYDRO USA operates in a niche market that provides overhaul and rehabilitation to hydro power plants. The work encompasses a wide range of repair, replacement and improvement services to restore dependability and sustainability to hydro power facilities, or to increase capacity and/or efficiency. Projects range in size and scope, but routinely span from component assessment, design, and procurement to site installation and commissioning. Hydro power is recognized as the most economic form of renewable energy, and the company is committed to environmentally friendly concepts.

duties:

Major responsibilities are listed but not limited to the following duties:

  • Successfully overseeing a project through the entire project life cycle. Ability to foresee risks and recognize scope creep and mitigate and be proactive
  • Effectively managing project functions for engineering, procurement, installation, and commissioning, while maintaining all proper communication channels ensuring Customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for contract compliance, cost, schedule performance, forecasting, submittals, technical drawings, quality, regulatory conformity, claims, cost recovery, and client relations.
  • Lead regular team meetings. Stakeholder management and identification as well as coaching and development of project team members

Education and Experience:

  • BSc, Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related study.
  • PMI or PE Preferred
  • 5+ year's experience managing complex projects in a heavy industrial environment.
  • Experience with developing and managing intricate schedules, projecting and controlling costs.
  • Computers skills required are Primavera P6, MS Projects and MS Office Suite.
  • Proven ability to oversee project execution and administration, coordinate field personnel, effect cost recovery, and handle technical submittals, manuals, and drawings.
  • Proven success in customer/vendor relations.
  • Savvy negotiator with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Able and willing to travel 10%.

Authority:

  • Approval of invoices and purchase orders according to spending limits for the role
  • Stop work at site for safety or quality
  • Negotiate costs and delivery with vendors and manufacturing
  • Create claims
  • Represent the interests of ANDRITZ Hydro with respect to project stewardship
