Our boutique property management company is seeking skilled painters and turnover technicians to join our team.

As we continue to grow our in-house maintenance team, we are seeking a skilled, detail-oriented individuals who can work independently to maintain and help improve the properties we manage.

You will be responsible for ensuring apartments are painted and made ready for move-in, as well as assisting the maintenance team with service requests as needed.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Prepares surfaces to be painted, which may include cleaning or removing prior finishes.
  • Masks, removes, covers, or otherwise protects furniture, hardware, trim, and other nonpainted surfaces.
  • Ability to skillfully repair drywall and/or plaster including filling small holes and texturing.
  • Applies paint to interior and exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers, sprayers, and other tools as necessary.
  • Turn over vacant units to market-ready condition within the scope of a handy worker or painter.
  • Create and/or follow a punch list of items to complete to ensure all appliances, fixtures, electrical systems,
plumbing systems, HVAC, door hardware, access tools, windows, and utility systems are functioning correctly.

  • Conduct repairs and upgrades in both occupied and vacant apartment units
  • Carpentry skills, if applicable, will be utilized for tasks such as fence repair, stair repair, door frame repairs, etc.
  • Maintain a log of hours worked and mileage for client billing
  • Track and file receipts by work order
  • Complies with chemical and waste storage and disposal regulations and best practices.
  • Maintains a neat and clean work area.
  • Accurately records and details labor time, tasks, and material costs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications/Skills/Abilities:

  • At least 2 years of painting experience
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and work ethic.
  • Ability to follow instructions and provide consistent work.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a personal vehicle that is insured.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and an acceptable driving record.
  • This role involves a significant degree of independence. We value team members who can take ownership of their work, delivering high-quality results on time, with minimal oversight.

Education and Experience:

  • Completion of a formal apprenticeship program, previous experience, or on-the-job training required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of standing and painting.
  • Must have adequate balance and ability to climb ladders.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to reach overhead, crouch, and kneel.
  • Must be able to distinguish among colors.

  • This is a full-time benefits eligible position, Four 10 hour work days Monday- Thursday. Weekend shift are also available.
