The Opportunity: We are currently seeking an experienced AWS Java Backend Lead/Architect. If you're ready to move forward in your career, then this opportunity might just be for you. You will be expected to effectively lead and manage a team focused on Java AWS backend development, whilst providing high-level architectural designs. Being at the forefront of knocking down complex business challenges, you will utilize your skills in AWS and Java to provide efficient business solutions. Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, designing, and development of AWS-based applications.
  • Construe architectural requirements and translate them into effective design plans.
  • Manage a team of AWS backend developers, outlining clear objectives and ensuring productivity.
  • Initiate and supervise the implementation of tested and approved applications into production.
  • Collaborate successfully with cross-functional teams, including project managers, designers, and other developers.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Minimum of seven years experienced in the field of AWS backend development, preferably with a management position.
  • Expert command of Java with extensive knowledge of AWS and its various services.
  • Experience in leading teams and managing large-scale projects.
  • Proficiency in creating high-level architectural designs based on client demands and company specifications.
  • Proven expertise in AWS backend infrastructure, with certification as a bonus.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Previous experience in the Information Technology industry is a definite plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of other backend technologies and programming languages.
  • Good problem-solving skills, combined with creative approach and initiative.
  • Effective communication and the ability to transform technical terms into layman's understanding for non-technical staff and clients.
  • Prior experience in Agile or Scrum methodologies.
