Care Animal Hospital is the hospital for you to begin your career, solidify your education, and master surgical and dental aspects of practice. We have helped train 4 new graduate veterinarians over the past 10 years. If exotics are a part of your desire, we have phenomenal teaching and training.

We have a positive, experienced, support staff, and excellent clientele. We are a team at the highest level supporting one another in aspects of practice and personal life. The support staff at CAH includes 4 receptionists, 7 technicians including 3 RVTs, 4 non-RVT, all who taking their RVT test this year, and 2 assistants.

Care Animal Hospital is a state-of-the-art facility, equipped with ultrasound, digital radiography, digital dental x-ray, complete in-house laboratory, and endoscope. We are fully equipped to care for dog & cat patients and birds, exotics and wildlife using incubators, nebulizers, oxygen, electrosurgery and specialized instrumentation.

Exotics & Wildlife

We are the only practice in our inland valley that cares for exotic pets and works with Project Wildlife in San Diego.

We work with rehabilitation groups to care for wildlife after treatment. This care is a commitment CAH makes to the community and to the humane treatment of all animals that encompass veterinary medicine, our education and oath. We see birds of all species from finches to macaw parrots, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, hamsters, mice, snakes, turtles, tortoises, including 75lb sulcatas, all lizards: bearded dragons, geckos, skinks, monitors, tegus, sugar gliders, hedgehogs and mini pigs.

Benefits Package

Our competitive full-time benefit package includes:

· Pro-Sal, base annual wage starting at $170k-$250k (Production at 20%-22%)

· $20,000 sign on/relocation bonus

· Paid CE, up to $2000 paid annually

· Paid Time Off: 4 weeks per year; depending on schedule

· $500 paid monthly towards health insurance premium

· Paid DEA, veterinary license, AVMA dues, CVMA or SCVMA membership

· Retirement IRA through Cal Savers and 401k

· Coverage for vision, dental, life, disability through Aflac

Our ideal candidate would be comfortable in soft-tissue surgery, have dental experience and be willing and open to pursue other avenues of veterinary medicine to add to the practice. We offer a flexible schedule, and we work within the doctor's availability, with no requirements to come in "after hours." We are looking for the right person with the personal touch to communicate to our clients and our team members.

Professional Management

Care Animal Hospital's hospital manager has a BA degree, and is trained in human resources and business administration. We have reception and technician supervisors in place to encourage and direct their staff. We boast a non-corporate environment and are not bound by corporate oversight and confines that often dictate your practice life. At Care Animal Hospital you will practice medicine the way you choose and treat your patients the way you choose.

We are open Monday through Friday, 8 am to 6 pm. and are closed on weekends. Doctor appointment hours are from

8:55 am to 5:25 pm, with 30 minute appointment times. We strive to provide our staff with a healthy work/life balance. Surgeries and procedures are performed between noon and 3 pm. We have a supportive leadership team to help keep our practice running smoothly and efficiently.
