Global fashion company in contemporary is seeking a highly creative Designer for knitwear/sweaters to join their team Design from concept to pre-production.

Experience in the contemporary market is a plus.

In this position, you will partner with sales to utilize your design knowledge and creative inspiration for the knitwear collection.


Responsibilities include:
Develop and identify trend direction for contemporary sweaters including color direction, stitch, yarn, trend, print/pattern, and silhouette direction.

Responsible for product design and development from concept to pre-production.

Create detailed flat sketches for presentations to product develpement team and Buyers

Shop the marketplace for inspiration and product opportunities

Communicate seasonal trend direction to upper management.

Partner with the technical design team and production ensuring quality standards

Create tech packs to be sent to factories for sample development and production samples.

Work closely with sales, merchandising, and production teams

Ensure products are aligned with an overall business strategy including merchandising key product assortments

Skills

Bachelor's degree required.

Minimum 5 years designing contemporary Sweaters

Ability to work in a fast paced environment

Proficient in Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator, 3D, andMicrosoft Office
