CIFC Health's Women's Health Department is seeking a full-time compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team.
Responsibilities within LPN License:
- LPNs gather information to be used by providers in assessment and patient care.- LPNs administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers- LPNs monitor and record vital signs, medical history and symptoms- LPNs assist with physical exams and medical procedures as needed and within licensure- LPNs provide education to patients and families on healthcare topics- LPNs maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care- LPNs collaborate with school nurses, WIC colleagues, DCF and other medical departments as needed.

Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED- Current LPN license in the state of Connecticut- Previous experience in pediatrics preferred- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; bilingual strongly encouraged to apply- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment- Attention to detail and ability to multitask- Understanding of medical terminology and nursing protocols- Experience with electronic medical records required; eClinical Works preferred
