RESPONSIBLITIES:
Primary responsibly is teaching undergraduate science courses.

The successful candidate will be able to teach at least 3 of the following courses:
Botany, Plant Physiology, Ecology and Evolution, and Life Science (nonmajors).

The successful candidate must teach the subject matter in a manner that is consistent with the university's Statement of Faith.

Other duties include academic advising, student research advising/mentoring, curriculum and program development, and university and departmental committee work.

Corban University faculty are expected to be active scholars, excellent teachers, active in service to the university and the community, and able to model the integration of faith and learning.

The successful candidate will support the university's mission to educate Christians who will make a difference in the world for Jesus Christ.


QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Education:
Doctorate in a plant- or ecology-related area of biological science is preferred.

Experience:
Significant experience in biological science is required and college teaching experience is preferred. Candidate should have strong teaching and leadership skills and have a demonstrated record of active participation in professional organizations.

Character:

The candidate must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and evidence a mature Christian faith, be in agreement with the University's statement of faith, be committed to the integration of biblical principles within the discipline of science and be willing to invest him/herself in the development of undergraduate students.

The science program places great value in collaboration and, therefore, desires candidates who have the same teamwork and collaborative values.
